The Best Features of Our Vinyl and Wood Replacement Windows

Homecraft® Inc. is the one-stop shop for all your window replacement needs. We offer the best of two different categories: ProVia® vinyl windows and Andersen® wood replacement windows. They’re so good that your only problem will be deciding between the two. Let us share with you the features and benefits of both:

They’re Energy-Efficient

It goes without saying that you should have energy-efficient windows, and these two options are heads above the rest when it comes to their energy-saving properties. Wood is a naturally insulative material, which is why Andersen wood window frames and sashes feature a solid wood core. ProVia vinyl windows, on the other hand, have fiberglass-filled frames and sashes that provide excellent insulation.

Combined with dual-panel glass with low emissivity (Low E) coatings, both ProVia and Andersen replacement window options are ENERGY STAR®-rated for energy efficiency. Both options include custom weatherstripping for effective protection against water, dust and noise. You can visit our showrooms to compare NFRC ratings and find the best windows for your home.

They Require Little Maintenance

Like most of today’s vinyl window options, ProVia vinyl windows require virtually no maintenance. The colors are factory-installed, which eliminates the need for scraping and repainting. Andersen wood windows, on the other hand, feature a layer of water-repellent preservative, and are protected by a patented Andersen weatherproofing system that achieves the same low-maintenance benefits as vinyl. Additionally, both window options feature sashes that can be tilted inwards for easy cleaning.

They’re Custom Built

The problem with off-the-shelf replacement windows is that they wouldn’t likely fit your existing wall openings. A custom fit is an important consideration when getting replacement windows, because it ensures a proper seal around the window frames. Also, your window openings won’t need to be resized to accommodate your new windows, keeping the original structure intact. Customized window sizes are perfect for historical homes or if you have permanent exterior like brick or stone.

Can’t decide between vinyl or wood window installation? Our replacement window experts can help you narrow down your choices in the comfort of your own home.
