5 Advantages of Seamless Gutters Over Traditional Gutters

Gutters may not occupy a large part of your exterior, but they are as essential as the roof or siding. It’s your only line of defense from pooling rainwater, indoor flooding, and major structural damage to your house foundations.

When you’re having your gutters replaced, consider investing in seamless gutters as a long-term solution. Here are some of its benefits over traditional gutter systems.

  1. It’s less prone to leaks – Traditional gutter systems tend to develop leaks at the seams if not regularly attended to and requires sealant reapplication every time. Seamless gutters, on the other hand, are made from a single piece of aluminum so there are no seams to seal in the first place, which results in less risk of leaks.

  2. It’s less likely to clog – Needles, granules, and other kinds of small debris tend to collect at gutter ridges and seams, which can later clog the gutters. Another advantage of being made from a single piece of metal is that seamless gutters don’t have ridges (and obviously no seams), so any small debris would simply just get pushed along with the rainwater and into the downspout.

  3. It requires minimal maintenance – Fewer leaks and less clogging means virtually no maintenance needed. Our Mastic seamless gutters are made from aluminum, which is much lighter and doesn’t rust like galvanized steel. Paired with a Mastic Leaf Relief gutter protection system, you can leave your gutters untouched for up to a year, and your gutters would still be working flawlessly.

  4. It looks beautiful – Traditional gutters look unsightly with rust from exposed metal and nails, and are more prone to sagging when the hangers fail. Our seamless gutters, on the other hand, have baked-on finishes, guaranteed to last 20 years without needing a repaint, and won’t flake or peel. We use hidden hangers with screws, which holds stronger than nails and doesn’t punch a hole on the gutters themselves.

  5. It’s professionally built – Seamless gutters are custom-built to fit, which requires trained personnel and specially-designed equipment. When you choose seamless gutters, you know you’re getting professionally-built gutters every time.
